About Us Connectivity & Travel

Rajshahi and Dhaka are connected through daily flights operated by Biman Bangladesh, US Bangla Airlines and Novoair. All destinations in Bangladesh are well connected to Rajshahi by rail and regular bus service.

Rajshahi is connected to India by road and rail via Gede, Haridaspur, Mahadipur and Hili at the West Bengal border.  Various destinations in North Bengal (West Bengal) and beyond are also connected to Bangladesh via Changrabandha/Burimari and Banglabandha/Phulbari borders. One can travel by bus from Benapole (Haridaspur), Hili or Sonamasjid (Mahadipur) at the West Bengal border to Rajshahi.  From Hili or Mahadipur the nearest rail head is Malda which is well connected to the rest of India either directly or via Sealdah and Howrah. Benapole/Haridaspur is about 7 km from Bongaon, the nearest railway station in India, which is connected to Kolkata by local trains.  At Darshana/Gede border, the Gede railway station is just about 500 metres from zero point.  Kolkata is connected to Gede by local trains.  To reach Rajshahi from Haridaspur/Benapole border, one has to take either a bus or a train from Jessore, which is half an hour by road from the border.  From Gede border, the Darshana railway station can be reached in about 15 minutes by road and then one can avail of the train service to Rajshahi.
