India Technical and Economic Cooperation Programme

The India Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) programme, established in 1964, is the flagship programme of the Development Partnership Assistance Programme of the Government of India. Over the years it has provided training to thousands of professionals throughout the developing world. Under the programme, Bangladesh has been allotted 185 training slots and another 30 slots under the Colombo Plan each year. The courses are completely sponsored by the Government of India, and are typically for 3 to 6months.

Eligibility

The applicants must be between 25-45 years of age and should have 5 years’ relevant work experience in the area of specialized course in either Government or in a private organisation. They may belong to Government, Universities, reputed corporate houses or trade bodies.

How to apply

The applicants should forward their applications to the High Commission of India, Dhaka along with a letter of recommendation from the parent organisation of the applicant.  Applicants working in the Government must approach the Economic Relations Division (ERD), Ministry of Finance or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of Bangladesh for recommending the applications.
